| born 1973 in Osijek (Croatia) The pseudonym "Crash" was created in Cologne (Germany), because his Slavic name caused problems in the multi-national team of colleagues. Crash is pure echoism, no hints of a destructive attitude in his way of art and living. No hints of the war in his home country, even if it was a turning point in his life. Next to talent and inspiration, Crash thinks that art is effort and hard work, which confronts itself with the world to bring up new ideas and to let them come true in pictures and histories. The biggest challenge is to draw figures because this can be connected with a "trip to surrealism". "Old masters, new worlds" could be a try to put his credo into one sentence. He does not see himself as an artist of the modern time, but as a modern artist in the present. |
